Biography
Mehmet Öğüt completed the Painting department at Marmara University Atatürk Faculty of Education, then completed his master's degree in Painting at the same university's Institute of Educational Sciences. Subsequently receiving education at Kabk: Royal Academy of Art, the artist participated in exhibitions and film screenings in cities such as Istanbul, Diyarbakır, Vienna, Amsterdam, Rotterdam, and Cologne with his painting and video works.
He was deemed worthy of the ESSL Art Award CEE in 2015 due to his work.
Among the exhibitions he participated in during past years are:
- 2022: "Ateşin Gölgesi Yoktur" at Vision
- 2019: Grejuva at Bilsart
- 2016: V.I.G. Special Invitation in Vienna
- 2015: Frame Of Mind at De Kijkdoos Art Space in Amsterdam
He currently continues his works in Istanbul.
